Leonardo came to House Of Hope in December 2022 as heartworm-positive, but was treated and is now heartworm-negative. Leonardo did have some separation anxiety with the foster mom. In May 2023, Leonardo went to Mason Dixon K9 and completed his canine basic obedience training and was adopted. Unfortunately, that adoption did not work out and he was returned to House Of Hope.
Leonardo needs someone who will be consistent, hold Leo to the high standards he is capable of, and maintain the training that he gained at Mason Dixon K9. This handsome guy is smart and knows his commands, but he will push the limits if allowed. He’s a wonderful dog who will thrive with someone who holds him accountable and enforces his training.
