Chestnut Adoptable

Age: 3 year old
Weight: N/A
Breed: Black Lab Mix

Chestnut is a 3-year-old black lab mix who is great with all dogs. He loves playing outside in the yard with his foster’s dog Roux. He’s working on his crate training and getting much better.

Chestnut is stellar with women, but we have reason to believe he’s suffered terrible abuse from men. An all-female home will be best for him.

He met children and seems good with them. There are many people in and out and he has been great. He doesn’t get up on the furniture and sleeps beside his foster’s bed.

Chestnut enjoys being outside in the yard. Because of his escape history, it is required that his adopters have a fenced yard (no electric fence).

He needs savvy owners so that he doesn’t get loose again. He has shown some interest in going after his foster’s cat, so a home with no cats is best.

He knows sit and paw and is house trained. Chestnut truly is a wonderful dog and an easy foster.
